Facebook Branding 101 - A Business Page Might Not Be For You!
If you have a business page and are not getting the results you want, you are going to want to read this...
Your brand, your name, and your products are what separates you from the rest of the competition in your industry. The issue...your brand is most likely unknown.
If I were to tell you that I was selling two computers that both have a 13.3 inch screen, both have 128GB of storage, both have a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, both have 12 hours of battery life, and both cost $1500. One is a Mac, the other is a Razor.
Which would you buy?
90% or more of you will go with the Mac because we make subconscious decisions when we buy and are far more comfortable buying something we know versus something we do not.
This same psychology factors in when you are marketing through a Business Page. You might spend, $5, $10, $20, $100, $1000 or more on advertising and still see little to no results simply because people do not know who you are. You might have a product/service that is just as good or even better than your competitors, but studies show that consumers 90% of the time will purchase from a brand they are familiar with.
In order to overcome this, you need to understand the LONG GAME! Building a brand doesn't happen overnight. It takes time, consistency and good content (just to name a few) to make your brand well known. I personally use a 2 PHASE MARKETING STRATEGY when it comes to building large brands.
Phase 1 involves starting smaller. I build a Personal Account up first. People like to know the person they are buying from. They will not buy from you if they do not trust you. Once I build the engagement of that page to where they are maxed at 5000 friends and receive 100-200 likes a post, then Phase 2.
Phase 2 involves transitioning to a Business Page and brining along your smaller community, so you can grow a larger community and brand! This useful first Phase helps build a loyal following and will create trust for new customers down the road. They will see people actively engaging and reacting positively to your posts, which will then make selling to them a lot easier!
